Frost Media Group has plenty of partners in the nonprofit community, so we were excited to get out and see what they were up to during the second annual Omaha Gives event.
Hundreds of nonprofits raised over 6 million dollars in 24 hours, thanks to the generosity of the Omaha community. Groups had open houses, activities, meals and drinks as a way to say thank you, and to meet with their supporters. We stopped by 7 events to say hello and see how their progress was going.
From community gardens to after school activities, and legal advice to artwork, people in the Omaha area made more than 34,000 donations to impact their community.
